Charioteer

Players take the role of charioteers racing around the Circus Maximus, maneuvering through collisions, crowd reactions, and imperial whims. Movement is driven by melding sets from a hand of cards; each card can contribute to different plays, so players must decide how to allocate cards between competing uses. Moves come in four colors with distinct effects: attack opponents, recover from damage, handle tight corners, or sprint ahead. Racers gain and improve individual abilities that boost preferred move types, deploy tokens earned by impressing the crowd, and manage damage that slows their chariot. Simultaneous move selection and timing of big plays determine the winner.
