HEXplore It: The Valley of the Dead King

Os jogadores se unem como heróis personalizáveis em um reino de fantasia, combinando um Papel (profissão) e uma Raça (herança) para definir pontos fortes, fraquezas e habilidades especiais. Os heróis acompanham seus atributos com marcadores apagáveis e evoluem por meio de missões, batalhas e exploração por um mapa hexagonal. Viaje entre cidades, santuários e ruínas para obter melhorias, cumprir objetivos e enfrentar adversários variados enquanto evita perigos. Um antagonista ameaçador avança pelo mapa, destruindo cidades e ficando mais forte à medida que o jogo prossegue. O objetivo é fortalecer os heróis rápido o bastante para confrontar e derrotar essa ameaça final.

    This game brings RPG combat to the table like no other. It's a bit dense and long but has beautiful mechanics that can remind to Runebound or other Adventure games. Interesting!

    Element of exploration/discovery, huge number of race/class combos, high replayability, good artwork, adjustable difficulty. It's what I've been looking for for years - the kind of game I would have loved as a kid but has some more depth for now-me.
