Kingdom Builder: Big Box

Players build small kingdoms by placing settlements on a variable hex board made from nine terrain types, including special locations and castles. On a turn a player plays a terrain card and places three settlements on hexes of that type, usually adjacent to their existing settlements. Building next to location hexes grants extra action tiles that can be used later for special moves; building next to castles scores endgame gold. Three scoring cards are used each game (drawn from a larger set) and define the main ways to earn gold, such as adjacency to water or majority presence in a sector. The box combines the base game’s modular setup with additional expansions and variant queen tiles for more map and action variety.
