Chicago Express: Nickel Plate Road Expansion

This expansion adds the Nickel Plate Road to the base game, requiring the original game to play and supporting 2–6 players. At the start of a round after the Wabash Railroad has begun, its single share is auctioned. The winning player pays the bid to the bank, places the railroad’s first locomotive in Chicago, then places the remaining locomotives adjacent to one another, avoiding Detroit, Pittsburgh, mountain, and forest hexes. The Nickel Plate Road does not pay to build track or receive a Chicago dividend. Its income is recorded on the income track, while its share and locomotives do not affect the end-game conditions.
