Escape from Colditz

Players take roles as Allied Escape Officers or the single German Security Officer in a semi-cooperative prisoner-of-war scenario set in a WWII castle. Escape Officers gather equipment (rope, wire cutters, forged papers, etc.), plan operations and attempt to free fellow POWs, while the Security Officer patrols, confines prisoners to solitary and confiscates items to disrupt those plans. Play proceeds over a fixed number of rounds; Escape Officers win by freeing a target number of prisoners before time runs out, otherwise the Security Officer wins. Components and asymmetric objectives create tension between coordinated escapes and interdiction efforts.
