Pixies

Colors are hard to distinguish. Rules of when to be able to put a card at a certain place are much too complicated for such a small game. Pretty hard to teach, constant question on where to be able to put a card are constantly coming up .

Regelfragen

Aus der Spielanleitung beantwortet von Ludoyas Regelassistenten.

Do I always have to put a card in the space with the same number?

If you have no faceup card with that number you must place the card faceup in that numbered space (placing it on top of any facedown card there). If you already have a faceup card with that number you choose which stays faceup and flip the other facedown under it; if the existing faceup is already validated you must place the new card facedown on any empty space. (page 1)

What exactly makes a card "validated" and does it still score?

A faceup card that covers a facedown card is "validated": it can’t be played anymore and it earns points at round end equal to its number. (page 1)

How do the spiral, cross and special symbols score?

Each spiral is +1 point and each cross is −1 point; special cards give 1 spiral for each faceup card of the indicated color (all faceup cards count, validated or not). (page 1)

How is the largest color zone scored, and does a multi‑colored card count?

A color zone is at least 2 same‑color cards touching along a side (diagonals don’t count); each card in your largest zone scores 2 points in round 1, 3 in round 2, and 4 in round 3. Multi‑colored cards count for all colors (and for special cards) and all faceup cards are considered whether validated or not. (page 1)

When does a round end — what happens in a 2‑player game?

A round ends at the end of any turn when a player has filled all 9 spaces (after every player has taken that turn’s card); in 2‑player games the round can also end when there are still 2 cards to take, but if a player fills their last space the other player must still place one more card so both have played the same number of times before scoring. (page 1)

How many cards are revealed each turn and who starts the next turn?

Each turn the first player reveals as many cards as there are players (4 cards in a 2‑player game), and players in clockwise order each take one; the player who chose their card last becomes the first player for the next turn. (page 1)
