Players lead an expedition to found a settlement on a distant shore, turning a boatload of workers, resources, and food into a growing community. Over five rounds, players place asymmetric worker types on a shared action board to collect resources, forage food, and construct buildings that expand their settlement. Each species has unique powers that shape placement options and engine-building decisions. Players may send workers to opponents' settlements to use facilities in exchange for manpower, and they recruit envoys who provide contracts that score points if fulfilled. Strategic timing of placements and balancing short-term needs against long-term commitments determine success.
