Butterfly Garden

Butterfly Garden

Players place path tiles on a shared board to build routes that carry butterfly figures from their starting locations toward flowerbed destinations. Each turn a player lays one tile from a two-tile hand, then any adjacent butterflies follow connected paths as far as they can; butterflies that collide are removed. Ownership of edge flowerbeds determines who claims arriving butterflies, with different colors scoring different point values. The game ends when all butterflies are claimed and the highest total score wins.

Cool pattern game with semi-cooperative flavour. I love the components. It's trickier than Tsuro, and you need 4 players to a great game.

This is a really cute game that plays similar to Tsuro but in reverse. In Tsuro your only goal is to lay routes to stay on the board as long as possible. In this game, you have these glass beads on the board, and you want to build routes so that the beads exit the board through the gates marked with your player color. This was a super fun experience and a great filler game. Take a look if you think Tsuro is cool, but a bit too simple. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
