Kingdomino Duel

Players roll dice, draft two at a time, and pair them to form domino tiles that are drawn into a personal map. Each domino shows terrains that must be placed to expand a small kingdom and score by connecting like regions. Choose dice strategically, recruit dignitaries to occupy territories, and collect wizard favors to gain special powers that influence drafting and placement. The game plays quickly as a two-player duel and retains the tile-placement and area-scoring focus of the original while using dice drafting to create each domino.

Adapts the gameplay of Kingdomino perfectly. All that's missing are the nice colorful tiles, but the trade-off is the better portability. The decisions are just as - if not more - interesting as in the original, plus this has the additional magic spells which add another layer to the game. Overall, I'm still not a huge fan of roll & writes, and I would play Ganz Schön Clever over this almost any time, but that just shows how great GSC is. This is still a good game.
