A two-player, card-driven strategic-level simulation of the American Civil War. Players move armies along a point-to-point map, contest area control, and conceal unit strengths while resolving operations through player-specific card decks rather than dice. Each side plays a distinct deck that provides command options and event effects; cards have multiple uses and some uses permanently remove them from future deck cycles. The Union must accumulate victory points by capturing Confederate areas and enforcing a naval blockade before the Union deck cycles for the third time, while the Confederacy aims to delay and frustrate those efforts. Deck composition changes as the game progresses, reflecting shifting relative strengths.
