Players represent competing firms contracted to drill from the crust toward the planet’s core, buying stakes in specialized companies and managing joint contracts. Gameplay cycles through three phases: deploy two vice presidents via a closed-fist auction to take actions, move drill crews across layered tiles of the crust and attempt excavations by matching crew power to tile resistance, and handle market and investment activities. Excavated tiles yield extraction cards that split resources among participating players, with tiebreakers for indivisible remainders. Players invest in crew power, subcontractors, mines and safety to gain Renown points via achievements, investments and end‑game majorities; the game ends when crews reach the center or all achievements are completed.
