Burning Suns

Burning Suns is a board game for 2–5 players. It plays in 80–200 minutes and is meant for ages 14 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 4.

A tactical science-fiction strategy game in which players build and expand interstellar empires through technology, diplomacy, exploitation and combat. Players customize empires from three components—ideology, race and framework—yielding a large number of distinct combinations with different strengths and weaknesses. Galaxies are modular and may change during play, shaping strategic opportunities. All actions resolve immediately and action order shifts each turn, keeping players engaged and minimizing downtime. Play emphasizes tactical maneuvering, opportunistic decision-making, and the use of leaders, agents and varied unit types to pursue alternate paths to victory, from alliances and trade to conquest.
