Duck Dealer

This game was a dud for me. The way it works is you have a spaceship schematic, and a piece and a map of planets, and each planet produces a different basic resource. You get points for building factories that convert basic to adv resources and for delivering goods to customers who get strategically placed on planets when their needs can be met, and when the token becomes available. So far, I'm on board. Where it lost me, is there are two types of turns in the game. Passing, to get action disks in one or more of the 3 colors matching the 3 actions you can take, or taking an actual turn which is spending your action disks as much as you want to do a million things. The game ends when 24 actual turns have been resolved collectively among all the players. So the tension is supposed to come from how well you can math ahead your actions plus waiting too long means other players might take things out from under you and end the game prematurely. But how fun is a game that's mostly, I take three disks, you take 3 disks, bob takes 3 disks, oh is a turn happening, looks like you miscounted your spaces and are now fucked. Boy that took awhile. Ok I take 3 disks. To be completely fair to the game, some early game zipping around let's you add parts to your ship, which means you collect disks faster when you pass, but the downside is your ship moves fewer spaces with each move action, which is interesting in theory, but just makes the mathing harder and longer in practice
