Edo

It was ok. I got angry because about 3 or 4 times someone else was gathering ressources before I could and therefore I got less. But at the end I won because I ended the game and had a lot of Samurais on the board and others not... This is a fun and quick playing hidden action selection, resource management game. It's essentially a race to 12 points, and you get points by collecting resources from the board and then spending those resources on structures in the cities. It's awesome twists are you select three actions secretly from your action tiles, then reveal and resolve one at a time around the table. The resource collection spot diminish in power, the more players that are standing on them, which means you should try to predict your opponents. The expansion added some extra non-player figures who wander around and get in your way. We mostly ignored them. It seemed to add fiddilyness to a game that was otherwise very smooth. The other expansion elements were very enjoyable. I do wish the cities payed out for majority at the end, as the endgame feels a little simple. :nostar: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :nostar: Multiple plays stay interesting :star: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::nostar::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
