The King's Abbey

Players control a community of monks represented by dice, rolling and allocating them each round to gather resources, recruit peasants, train clergy, and undertake crusades. Worker-placement actions on individual player boards and shared resource boards provide wood, stone, grain, and sand for constructing abbey buildings and towers. The game runs over seven rounds while escalating threats from the “darkness” require maintaining defenses and preparing for raids, famine, and other setbacks. Players score prestige for completed crusades and constructed elements; the player with the most prestige after seven rounds wins.
