Worldbreakers: Advent of the Khanate

Un'ambientazione alternativa di fine XIII secolo in cui individui chiamati Worldbreaker usano una risorsa chiamata mythium per amplificare le proprie abilità e perseguire obiettivi politici e militari. Due giocatori iniziano ciascuno con una carta Worldbreaker unica e un mazzo di 30 carte. La partita si svolge in round composti da turni alternati; durante il proprio turno, un giocatore compie un'azione, come ottenere mythium, pescare, giocare una carta o attaccare. Le carte sono eventi (effetti una tantum), seguaci (creature che difendono o attaccano) e luoghi (siti che possono essere sviluppati attraverso fasi numerate per ottenere bonus una tantum, come potere o risorse). I giocatori ottengono potere sviluppando i luoghi e mettendo a segno attacchi; il primo a raggiungere dieci punti potere vince. Tempismo e gestione delle risorse guidano le decisioni relative allo sviluppo, al reclutamento e all'aggressività.

My rating of 8 is based on several test plays of the game in its unfinished state. The game has a very elegant and easy to follow set of rules that should make complex interactions easy to decipher (as long as the wording on the cards does not confuse you). The art is great and the setting fresh. I can definitely see the design inspirations, the love for interesting gameplay, and the great potential the game has. I hope Worldbreakers can grow a fun community to share the game with and wish the developers all the best :-)
