Players take the role of Nasrid nobles overseeing construction and patronage on the hill of Al-Sabika in Granada. Across five eras, players allocate actions on three interlocking rondels that represent building towers and gardens, commissioning poetic inscriptions, and establishing trade routes to Europe and the Maghreb. Income from trade funds construction and pays the tribute demanded by the Catholic Monarchs, while chosen actions also secure military protection against regional conflicts. Players score prestige from completed works, inscriptions, and successful trade; the highest prestige after the fifth era wins.
