Players lead a rural family through work, travel, faith, and public life to gain renown before time runs out. Each turn a player takes a colored or black cube from a shared board and performs that area's actions: travel, craft, trade at the market, take church or council roles, or equip tools and animals. Cubes seed zones and unlock multiple action choices; some yield immediate benefits, others score later or only at game end. Black cubes act as curses that affect options. The box integrates base and expansion content, adds a solo mode, revised components and a larger board, and supports mixed play with modular expansions and promos.
