Players lead rival guild expeditions across a frozen landscape to excavate a layered archaeological site. On each turn, players explore and remove 3D tiles representing ice, surface ruins, and deep artifacts, deploying archaeologists to dig, collect artifacts, and fulfill city Requests and Decrees. Removed ice tiles can be used as helping actions; edifice tiles introduce new rules and legacy-style discoveries that change the game state. Play ends when an edifice is fully revealed, then players total reputation and renown gained from artifacts, fulfilled Requests, and scored Decrees to determine the winner.
