Guards of Atlantis II

Team-based, zero-luck arena game inspired by MOBA video games. Each player pilots a single hero using a hand of cards to move, activate abilities, and attack; play resolves through card-driven actions rather than dice. Defeating enemy minions grants coins that buy levels and upgrades for heroes while waves of autonomous minions push toward opposing bases. Players coordinate within teams to manage lanes, tempo, and objectives as they attempt to escort their minions to the enemy base and capture it. This edition overhauls content with many new heroes and a double-sided board, and streamlines rules for faster, tighter play.

I originally really liked this game (as in an 8/10 rating), but with more plays it has soured a bit on me. Mostly because of how group dependent it is. The game is fun as long as the turns go quick. I have played with players who tries to hard calculate what enemies can do, what is the perfect spot to place their hero according to the board state and what cards everyone on the table have in their hands, and this makes the whole experience awful. I strongly suggest playing with an alarm that the player cant see, where the players who havent played a card when it goes off will need to discard a random card. Use the same alarm during action execution where you can't do the actions on your card if the alarm goes off.
