Asara

I giocatori vestono i panni di facoltosi costruttori in competizione per erigere le torri più alte e sfarzose nell’arco di quattro round. A ogni turno, un giocatore gioca una carta colorata su uno spazio azione per acquistare elementi delle torri, guadagnare denaro o aggiungere sezioni alle proprie torri; le giocate successive nello stesso spazio sono vincolate al colore della carta originale. I round proseguono finché i giocatori non esauriscono le proprie mani, dopodiché le torri vengono valutate in base alla quantità e all’ornamentazione. Dopo il quarto round, il punteggio finale assegna prestigio bonus per le torri più grandi di ciascun colore, per il maggior numero di torri e per la singola torre più alta; vince chi totalizza più prestigio.

This is a quick playing, color matching tower building game. The rules for building the different towers are very similar to the boat building rules of Shipyard and Nauticus. Much of the game is dependent on the different color cards you draw each round. Once an area is associated with a color, each spot in that area can only be used with cards of the same color, or two cards which become wild. This leads to some intrigue and pressure about not knowing what will be available and how, but ultimately while I enjoyed the game, it didn't have much depth. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ★ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★☆☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
