Cosmolancer
Players take the role of freelance space photographers who compete across three rounds to capture high-value shots on a shared 6×5 grid. Each round starts with hidden tiles in players’ hands. On a turn a player draws and places a tile, places the tile they hold, or places one of their numbered tokens (1–4) on an empty space. When the grid fills, each placed token scores: the token’s number is multiplied by the sum of values in its row and column, with special tiles able to nullify or split scoring lines. One-tokens are returned after scoring; higher-numbered tokens are removed for the rest of the game. The highest total score after three rounds wins.

Evan5,9 I traded away my copy of Kingdoms, and got Beowulf, because it seemed the same but deeper and more varied. I think I played it once, and while I enjoyed it, I learnt of the original theme for this game, which was about having bad neighbors rather than generic fantasy, so I sold Beowulf and got the original version of this game. Since then it sits unplayed. My group hasn't really taken to this game the way I have. The thing is, this is a very simple, quick playing and punishing game. On your turn you can place a tile, which will either add points or remove points from the row and column it's placed into, or you can place one of your city tiles into a spot. At the end of the round, each city will be worth points equal to it's row and column times it's multiplier. If you place your cities too early, other players will punish you by stacking the negative points in your area. If you play your cities too late, all the high value spots will have been taken and you won't get many if any points. This is the sort of game where you might end a round with less points than you started with. If you can't laugh that off in a one hour game, then avoid this game. If this sounds interesting to you definately check it out. :star: Art, Iconography and components functional :star: Clever or interesting mechanisms :star: Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players :star: Multiple plays stay interesting :nostar: Low or mitigatable luck elements :star::star::star::nostar::nostar: Raw enjoyment
