Two players act as merchants in an African marketplace, buying and selling goods such as furs, silk, jewelry, fruits, tea and salt to accumulate wealth. On a turn, players take actions to trade, recruit visitors who grant special abilities, activate holy-site powers, or disrupt an opponent by releasing animals onto their stand. Each player normally has five actions but visiting one of fifteen holy sites adds an extra benefit. The game supports standalone play or integration with compatible marketplace titles to expand the trading environment.
