Players take the role of Rebel Leaders assembling forces to march on a tyrannical queen’s stronghold. On each turn, players recruit troops and play cards from their hand to build an army; cards contribute to endgame scoring and may interact with corruption or allegiance mechanics. The game tracks a corruption pool tied to the queen: if it reaches ten marks she retains the throne, otherwise the rebels succeed in overthrowing her. Strategic hand management, timing of recruitment, and choosing when to advance on the keep determine whether the light or darkness prevails.
