Hike a section of the historic John Muir Trail over twelve days of simulated backpacking. Players move along the trail, managing backpack gear and personal resources while adapting to changing weather and daily trail encounters. Choose when to explore destinations and place workers on trail spaces to score points, collect sets of field guide cards, observe wildlife and natural sights, and use items from the pack to enhance actions. Gameplay blends route movement, resource management, and set collection as players attempt to maximize trail points across the full trek.
