Century: A New World

Players lead expeditions to the early 16th‑century Americas, exploring coastlines and inland regions to survive and record discoveries. Workers are placed on a shared board to perform actions such as exploring, hunting and gathering, trading with local inhabitants, and journaling finds. Resource trading and upgrade chains drive engine building, while worker placement choices unlock access to new locations and benefits. The game integrates card-based resource management with a tactical placement system and can be combined with earlier titles in the series for variant setups.

How many actions do I get on my turn — can I Work and Rest both?

On your turn you must perform exactly one action: either Work (use a location) or Rest (return all your settlers from the board to your player board). (see page 1).

Can I use a location that already has an Exploration tile or my own settlers on it?

No — when you Work you may choose any location that has neither an Exploration tile nor your own settlers on it. (see page 1).

If another player is on a location, how do I oust their settlers?

To oust another player's settlers you must place the same number of settlers already there plus one additional settler, then return the ousted settlers to their owner’s player board. (see page 2).

What happens if I end my turn with more cubes than I have storage spaces?

At the end of any turn you must return cubes of your choice to the supply until you reach your storage limit of 10 cubes. (see page 2).

On a Fort, can I take the Bonus tile and claim the Point card in the same visit?

Yes — on a Fort location you may perform one or both actions: take the top Bonus tile (if you have an empty bonus space) and/or claim the Point card by returning the required cubes from your storage. Note you cannot gain more Bonus tiles once all three of your bonus spaces are filled. (see page 3).

When does the game end and how are leftover cubes scored?

When a player claims their 8th Point card, finish the current round and then the game ends; players score Point cards, Bonus tiles, Exploration tiles, and each remaining non-yellow cube in storage is worth 1 point (ties go to the player who took the last turn). (see page 2).
