Washington's War

A two-player card-driven simulation of the American Revolution that pits British imperial forces against colonial rebels. Players use a shared deck of event cards for operations, event effects, and a novel discard-buy mechanic that lets opponents purchase discarded events for an operations cost. Combat resolves quickly with dice-driven battles while movement, recruitment, naval power, and French intervention play into an asymmetrical contest: Britain projects conventional naval and coastal strength, while the Americans rely on militia, a small Continental Army, and political support. Games run in about 90 minutes and support side-switching for paired matches or tournament play.
