Dixit

Players take turns as the storyteller, choosing one of the six illustrated cards in hand and offering a brief clue — a word, phrase, or sound — that relates to that card’s surreal image. Other players each select a card from their own hand that best matches the storyteller’s clue and submit it face down. The storyteller shuffles the submitted cards with their own, reveals them, and everyone (except the storyteller) secretly votes for which image they think inspired the clue. Scoring rewards the storyteller and correct guessers only if some, but not all, players identify the storyteller’s card; alternative results give points to the other players. The game ends when the deck is depleted or a player reaches the target score, and the highest score wins.

Everything fits into the new edition's insert (420 sleeved cards - I think this is the maximum), the new voting dials are perfect. The more I play it the more I appreciate its simplicity. It just works, and it turns out I usually prefer to play it over other similar 'artsy' games that are more convoluted. + Odyssey + Anniversary + Revelations + Journey

Quando alcuni (ma non tutti) giocatori trovano l'immagine del narratore, il narratore segna 3 punti e ogni giocatore che ha trovato la sua immagine segna anche 3 punti; inoltre, ogni non-narratore segna 1 punto per ogni voto messo sulla propria immagine. (Regolamento, p.1)

Cosa succede alla fine di un turno e come finisce la partita?

Dopo aver assegnato i punti, ogni giocatore pesca fino ad avere 6 carte e il narratore successivo è il giocatore alla sinistra; la partita finisce quando viene pescata l’ultima carta dal mazzo e vince il giocatore più avanti sul tracciato dei punti. (Regolamento, p.1)
