Players embody the four Cardinal Virtues—Courage, Prudence, Temperance, and Justice—who guide a lone Puritan avenger through episodic, story-driven campaigns based on classic tales. Each Act breaks into Chapters that present branching narrative choices and tactical scenarios resolved with miniatures, movement, combat, dice, and custom card decks. The Darkness opposes the Virtues via an AI deck that controls enemy actions and steers scenes toward malevolent outcomes. Players allocate resources, control the hero or allies, interrogate NPCs, explore locations, and can manifest directly on the board to influence events across single- or multi-session Acts.
