Two rival spymasters know the secret identities behind 25 single-word codenames while their teammates see only the words. The spymasters take turns giving a one-word clue plus a number to indicate how many words relate to that clue. Teammates then guess words one at a time, stopping when they pass, make an incorrect pick, or hit the assassin word which immediately ends the game. Play continues until one team correctly identifies all of its agents or the assassin eliminates a team. The game emphasizes word association, deduction, and careful clue construction.

Hmm. People creating totally new words that don't exist to match more than one word. It's funny, but I don't think I'll play this very often... There should be a timer that limits the one who has to name a word. So, after playing it again, decreased to a 1. It's just as boring as hell! If I'm ever 'forced' to play this again I will immediately give a one-hint to the tile that ends the game... Excellent, les jeux de déduction on adore, tout comme les jeux de mots. Bref celui ci (jeu de base) et le tout récent Décrypto, c'est vraiment notre tasse de thé ! Attention c'est cérébral et calme, ce n'est pas un jeu d'ambiance "fête" malgré la classification party game assez fréquente.

间谍大师在给线索时，能不能说不止一个词，或者再加些提示（比如“这个有点牵强”）？

不——线索必须是一个单词，而且你不能提供额外的提示或评论；另外，线索也不能是桌上当前可见的任何代号（第 4、6 页）。

我可以在桌面上说复合词的一部分吗？比如，HORSESHOE 还在显示的时候，我能说“horse”吗？

按照标准规则，你不能使用一个已露出的复合词的部分内容（所以当 HORSESHOE 还没被盖住时，你不能说“horse”），不过各组玩家可以商量着在游戏中放宽这个限制（第 6–7 页）。

我们的特工根据一个线索能猜几次？我们可以多猜一次吗？

行动员必须至少猜一个，并且最多可以猜到间谍大师给出的数字，再加上一条额外猜测；任何猜错都会立刻结束回合（第4–5页）。

如果有人碰到刺客牌会发生什么？

如果一名外勤特工碰到了刺客，刺客卡牌就会被翻开，而且该队会立刻输掉游戏（第4–5页）。

我可以把同音词、拼写、字母或数字当作线索吗（比如说用“knight”来提示 NIGHT，或者用“b: 3”表示三个以 B 开头的词）？

同音词会被视为不同的词，所以，如果某个代号的拼写不同，就不能用口头同音词作提示，除非你把这个词拼出来（例如 k‑n‑i‑g‑h‑t）。各组也可以自行选择更宽松的同音词规则；字母和数字只在表示含义时才被允许使用（例如 X 代表 X 光），而且你不能把你说出来的数字当作提示的一部分，也不能把字母当作简单的首字母提示，比如“b: 3”（第 6–7 页）。
