玩家将扮演漫画英雄，保护平民和世界，对抗横跨现实与异次元“星界迷域”的邪恶阴谋。 游戏采用模块化的固定英雄、反派和事件牌组；每次游戏都会将一套英雄牌组与一名反派及一套事件牌组搭配起来，带来各种挑战和目标。玩家同时进行行动，使用英雄牌组解决问题、挫败阴谋并协调行动，努力揭露反派的身份，为最终对决做好准备。 游戏支持1–4名玩家合作（可扩展），配有精致的微缩模型，并着重于战术协作以及由牌组驱动的漫画式故事体验。
