玩家在美国地图上放置一个自己的车站，并通过修建铁路来连接预先指定的五座城市。每回合，玩家放置一到两段轨道；起初只能在与自己车站相邻的线路上铺设。某位玩家的铁路网络与另一位玩家的网络连接后，便可以沿着合并后的网络继续修建。 当某位玩家连接完自己的五座城市时，游戏结束。巧妙利用对手的轨道以及把握连接时机，能够提高效率，通常也会决定胜负。

Chipsmith7.9 Very nice game that is easy to learn. I was thinking at first some of the routes I would get would be impossible (thinking this was like ticket 2 ride), but the fact that you share routes with others makes it a different beast.

Tom5.0 Very easy, very fast. It just seems to lack something. However, I think it's an decent game to teach to new gamers. (Seems to have been replaced with Ticket to Ride in recent years.) The expansion Vexation makes it worth another try, to be sure.
