Players portray vagrants trapped aboard a supernatural ghost train, exploring carriages and confronting lingering spirits called Haints. The game plays cooperatively across a campaign of scenarios where each turn players spend three Coins to move on a modular board, investigate spaces, rummage for Junk and Skills, or use special actions that target a Haint’s lost Humanity. Each Haint presents unique mechanics and threats that can drain players’ Humanity; scenarios end in victory by freeing spirits or failure if the group is consumed. Between scenarios, players rest to swap cards, heal, and re-equip before the next encounter.
