Players take the roles of the four major Allied leaders at the Paris peace conference of 1919, each with a national agenda and domestic constituencies to satisfy. Gameplay centers on a card-bidding influence system: players bid influence to resolve issues in the conference room while other issues and personages wait in the antechamber. Players steer outcomes on territorial claims, reparations, colonial aspirations and regional self-determination, and must manage demobilization and unrest on multiple fronts. Scoring rewards the player who shapes the most of the final treaty by aligning resolved issues with their national goals while keeping domestic support intact.
