Play as a veteran militia member from a fortified last hold in a near-future Europe broken by class war and genetic modification. Travel beyond the walls to explore modular tile maps, reconnect with lost outposts, and scavenge scarce resources while mutants stalk ruined estates and forests. Resolve over one hundred short story encounters and fast, card-driven combats that force tactical, forward-looking choices; objectives vary by character and playing style and players win by completing their chosen goals. Mutation offers mechanical benefits but risks spiraling consequences.
