Magic Realm

A sprawling fantasy exploration game in which each player controls one of sixteen distinct adventurers. Players navigate a changing map of ruins, mountains, caves and woods, searching for hidden treasures, spells and remnants of a lost magical civilization. Gameplay emphasizes exploration, encounter resolution and resource management: hiking, hiding and searching, fatigue and wounds, rest and trade, hiring natives, and tactical combat versus monsters, natives and other characters using weapons and magic. Many pieces remain hidden or unused, so each playthrough yields an unpredictable set of discoveries and challenges. Setup and player choices shape a unique, simulation-style adventure every game.
