Winter Tales
Players enact a branching fairy-tale conflict between hopeful inhabitants of a town and the icy forces trying to freeze the world. Each player controls characters from one of the opposing factions, moving figures, resolving encounters, and using narrative-driven abilities to advance personal and shared objectives. Gameplay blends tactical skirmishes with a card- and token-based story engine: characters gain wounds and upgrades, events and scenes alter the board state, and players trigger plot twists that change goals and available actions. Sessions create a unique shared narrative as the balance between Hope and Winter shifts through player choices and conflict outcomes.
