Seemed like an excellent compression of a wargame with a euro heart (with one of the worst manuals ever). Instead after a couple of plays I found out it feels more like a resource management euro with a sprinkle of clumsy randomness and combat. The basics concepts and core ideas are pretty interesting, but the execution seems to feel both scripted and not very interactive. Which might just be an impression, but I can't help to feel bored by the resource management cycle, waiting for some extra nice decision to come through. An entire point less for combining extra tight, knife edge, ultra punishing resource management and decisions, with uber random, unmitigated, dice rolls for sieges. Half a point less for an embarrassingly translated English manual and dense rules layout. The whole game is pretty simple and it's not difficult to understand because it's original, but mostly because the manual is abysmal and some stuff doesn't make sense thematically, like teleporting troops

A very well-thought economical, political and warfare game for 2 players. PROS - Simple core, but a lot of depth in how to order your actions and what to prioritize. - Different ways to approach the game, focusing on different strategies at different levels. - It requires you to be focused and manage resources correctly, as everything is scarce during the game. This might be a con for casuals, but it is a pro for the public the game is aimed to. CONS - It is not easy to grasp in a first game. Many aspects will not be fully used, not to mention optimized. - The art and graphic design are just functional: not bad, but definitely not great either.
