Aftermath: Le Cataclysme

Play as a small band of critters trying to keep their colony alive in a world where humans have vanished and nature reclaims the ruins. Leave the colony on narrative missions and side quests to scavenge food, gear, and information from abandoned places, then return to spend resources on colony buildings and upgrades. Characters have distinct personalities and playstyles; missions involve exploration, resource management, and tactical encounters with bandits and predators. Choices and outcomes shape the colony’s safety and future as hazards and needs change each time the group ventures out.

Juego interesante pero con situaciones frustrantes... ¿mal testeado? Las minis están bastante bien.

    Imprescindible, juegazo.

Cool campaign game. Highly recommended, but there is no feeling of being able to lose the campaign without bad luck

Questions de règles

Réponses tirées du livret par l'assistant de règles de Ludoya.

Can I read numbered entries on an Adventure Book page whenever I want?

No — always start by reading the page’s START entry and NEVER read a numbered entry on that page until the book specifically instructs you to (see rule about reading entries). (p.6)

When we leave a page, does the current player's turn end immediately and who becomes the bookkeeper?

Finish the current player's turn (including Check Threat), then the bookkeeper passes to the player on their left, who becomes the new bookkeeper and will take the next turn. (p.6)

If I scavenge a search token and discard it, do I return that token to the supply?

No — when you discard scavenge (search) tokens you do not return them to the supply, and when leaving a page any remaining search tokens are removed (not returned). (p.9, p.6)

How does nesting heal wounds, and what happens to toxic wounds?

While nesting, each character may spend 1 resource once to remove one normal wound, then all toxic wounds are converted to normal wounds (toxic wounds do not heal in the first step but become normal in the second). (p.10)

Do solid colored movement lines (red/blue/green) slow enemies the same way they slow characters?

No — enemies always cost only 1 movement point to cross solid colored lines, whereas characters need all played cards to match the color to cross for 1 movement point or otherwise must spend 3. (p.9, p.10)

What exactly triggers an enemy turn during Check Threat?

During Check Threat, if the situation is hostile and the number of threat cards on the threat track equals or exceeds the number of enemies in play, resolve an enemy turn. (p.8)
