Agricola: Terres d'Élevage
Play as rival animal breeders raising horses, cows, sheep and pigs on adjacent farms in this two-player adaptation focused solely on husbandry. Players expand a small personal board by adding pasture tiles, place fences to enclose space, and take three actions per round from a set of available actions across eight rounds. Animals are acquired and moved into pastures, while players may construct standard and special buildings that grant abilities or end-game points. Score comes from enclosed pasture area, the number and variety of animals, and point-producing buildings; the highest total after the final round wins.

How many animals can I keep in a pasture space — can I mix different types in the same pasture?
Each fully enclosed pasture holds up to 2 animals per space and must contain only a single animal type; pastures with unfinished borders cannot hold any animals (page 3).
How do feeding troughs affect animal capacity — do multiple troughs stack?
Feeding troughs double the number of animals that can be kept in pastures and in buildings, and multiple troughs stack multiplicatively (the rulebook shows two troughs doubling capacity twice); a feeding trough on an unenclosed farm space can keep exactly 1 animal (pages 4–5).
How many animals fit in my cottage, stalls and stables — and how do I upgrade a stall?
The cottage holds exactly 1 animal (upgradeable by the Half‑Timbered House), a stall holds up to 3 animals of one type and a stable up to 5; upgrade a stall by paying either 5 wood or 5 stone and flip the stall tile to its stable side (pages 3, 4, 8).
What happens when animals breed — do I always get one extra?
During the Breeding Phase you get at most one newborn of each animal type if you have at least two of that type on your farm, and any newborns you do not have room for immediately run away back to the supply (page 6).
What if we run out of troughs, stall tiles or farm expansions — can we make more?
Once the limited feeding troughs (10), stall tiles (4) and farm expansions (4) have been claimed, no more of those components are available (the game only supplies cardboard substitutes for certain goods, not for these items) (page 8).
Does the start player marker switch automatically each round?
No — the start player marker does not switch automatically; a player must take the specific start-player action space (upper-left on the board) in order to receive the start player marker (page 6).
