Horseless Carriage

Players act as early automotive entrepreneurs designing and selling experimental horseless carriages during the dawn of the automobile. Each round, players draft and assemble vehicle components, plan factory upgrades, and choose which novel features to include—steering methods, propulsion, safety add-ons, and conveniences—while balancing costs and production capacity. Customers arrive with varied preferences and budgets; players score by matching vehicles to those demands and by investing in research that predicts future trends. Strategic timing, resource allocation, and adapting to uncertain market tastes drive the competition to establish a viable design and a profitable business.

After 10 games: - The best splotter to play at 5 players - very original, as usual - deep, or actually "wide" economic and spatial optimisation puzzle. - somehow a U turn from TGZ and FCM: needs more players, more time, has less broad appeal, is less "thematic friendly". Heavier maybe. - interaction is meaningful / not missing a common map - a bit less "fun" than FCM and less "glamorous" than indonesia. A bit drier, but has something unique going on in it. - doesn't work much for me at 3p
