It's difficult to overstate how much I've enjoyed this game with my friends, with all its expansions. It's a product of its time, and really shines with the app that narrates the story. Unfortunately as more time passes between the release of the game and the current year, the more likely that the app will disappear from android or iPhone. Fun fact that added to our enjoyment: In Spanish, the voice actor for the narrator is the same person that voices Admiral Adama from Battlestar Galactica, the remake. It felt very special.

Do we have to decide the full turn order before anyone starts their turn?
No. Choose the next investigator as you go; you don’t need to set the entire order in advance. (FAQ, p. 2)
Can I split my move action around another action?
Yes. You can move one space, take another action, then move a second space as part of the same move action. (FAQ, p. 2)
Do I have to spend an action to tap a token in the app and read it?
No. You can inspect any token in the app without spending an action, even if it isn’t in your space. But choosing an app option marked with the action icon costs an action. (Rulebook, p. 7)
Can I spend Clues to help with skill tests or puzzles?
Yes. During a skill test, spend one Clue to turn one investigation result into a success; you may do this multiple times. During a puzzle, each Clue spent gives you one additional puzzle step. (Rulebook, pp. 13, 17)
Which monster do I make a horror check against if several are nearby?
Resolve a horror check against the monster within range with the highest horror rating. If you’re within range of none, you don’t make a horror check. (Rulebook, p. 10)
If I’m eliminated, does the game end right away?
Not immediately: the remaining investigators get one additional investigator phase to complete the investigation. If they haven’t completed it by the end of that phase, they lose. (Rulebook, p. 12)
