Manage a port economy by collecting goods, operating buildings and launching ships. Each turn adds new supplies to the market, then a player either takes all items of one type from an offer space or uses an available building. Buildings convert and sell goods, enable construction of new buildings and ships, and generate income; using buildings owned by others requires paying an entry fee. Ships supply food and expand capacity for production. Rounds include harvest steps where cattle and grain can multiply and all players must feed their workers. After a set number of rounds, players score by adding cash, buildings and ships; the highest total wins.

我什么时候需要喂养我的工人？如果我付不起怎么办？
每轮结束时，在结算当前回合卡牌时，你要支付该回合卡牌上显示的食物；法郎可以按 1:1 代替食物使用（见第 8 页和第 5 页）。如果你付不起，你必须先用掉你所有的食物和金钱，只有在这之后才能拿贷款卡来补足差额；贷款及其终局惩罚见第 10 页。
如果我不想要新的供应牌，我还是必须执行补给动作并放置我的船吗？
是的——每回合都从强制的补给（Supply）行动开始：你把你的船标记放到下一个空着的补给格上，并把该格上显示的两个标记加到供应区（第4页）。把船放到第七个补给格上也会触发回合结束（第4页）。
我可以用食物或钱互换来支付建筑入场费吗？而且这个钱是付给我自己吗？
进入建筑物前必须先支付入场费，入场费可以按图示用食物或法郎支付（如果费用标注为食物/法郎，你二选一即可）；另外，食物总是可以按1:1替代为法郎，但法郎不能替代为食物；进入你自己的建筑不需要支付入场费（第5页）。
如果我出售一座建筑或一艘船，我能得到多少钱？我什么时候可以出售？
卖给镇上的建筑和船只会返还其印刷价值的一半，而且即使在别人的回合中，只要那名玩家还没有正在执行某个行动，你也可以出售它们（第6页）。
我可以随时贷款吗？费用是多少？
你不能为了投资而主动借贷——只有在你花完所有食物和金钱后，仍然无法支付利息或喂养费用时，才可以借贷；每笔贷款会给你 4 法郎，归还时需要 5 法郎，并且在游戏结束时每笔未偿还贷款会扣 7 法郎（第 10 页和第 4 页）。
