My Village

Players oversee the development of a rural community across successive generations, guiding villagers through work, family, and legacy. A life-track records births, careers, and deaths while a village chronicle tracks progress and scoring. Gameplay centers on rolling and assigning dice to perform actions, resolve events, and choose which villagers activate, introducing a dynamic, push-your-luck element to familiar worker-placement and resource-management rhythms. Each round players expand buildings, collect resources, and plan long-term strategies as new mechanics reshape timing and choices familiar to veteran players.

This is an ok dice selection game that sort of combines Machi Koro with Village. The biggest problem with the game is the aspects that try to be Village. It sort of apes the interesting things Village has going for it, without taking any of the pieces that were actually interesting. I don't mind this game, but I don't see ever wanting to play it over Village. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ☆ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ☆ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★☆☆☆☆ Raw enjoyment
