Bomb Busters

Bomb Busters

Players act as a bomb disposal team working together to clear a device made of numbered wire tiles. Each player arranges a hidden set of wires on a stand and teammates take turns pointing and guessing the values; correct guesses let players remove (cut) those wires, while incorrect guesses advance the detonator. The deck contains numbered wire cards plus special yellow and red wires that affect risk. Sessions consist of sequential missions with increasing difficulty and varied setups; the objective is to cut through all twelve numbered positions before the detonator reaches its limit.

Questions de règles

Réponses tirées du livret par l'assistant de règles de Ludoya.

If a Dual Cut succeeds, do I have to show which tile I cut or where it was in my hand?

No — when a Dual Cut succeeds both players simply place the matching wires faceup in front of their tile stands without changing tile positions, and the active player does not reveal where in their hand the tile came from (p.5).

Do the numbers on yellow or red wires matter during play?

No — the decimal numbers on red and yellow wires are used only for sorting tiles during setup; during the game red and yellow wires have no numeric value and are treated simply as RED or YELLOW (pp.3, 6).

Where do I set the detonator dial and what makes it advance?

Set the detonator dial to the section matching the number of players during setup (p.4); it advances one space when a Dual Cut or a yellow/blue guess fails (unless a red wire is revealed, which explodes immediately), and the bomb explodes if the dial reaches the skull (pp.5–6).

When am I allowed to do a Solo Cut?

You may do a Solo Cut only if the last identical wires remaining in the game are all in your hand — you can cut them in pairs (or all 4 at once if you have the full set); a Solo Cut with yellow wires is allowed only if you hold all remaining yellow wires (p.6).

What communication is allowed — can we tell teammates what we saw or what we think?

Communication is intentionally limited: you may not talk about the wires in your hand, imply their values, recall information from previous turns, or share guesses; you may discuss general tactics, equipment use, and remind teammates about their character/equipment abilities (p.7).
