Patrician

Players act as master builders in medieval Italy, taking building orders from wealthy families and adding wooden tower pieces to city sites one floor at a time. Each player maintains a small hand of city cards; playing a card places a piece in the named city and grants the player that city’s revealed replacement card. Cards also carry one of four secondary effects—family portraits, extra placements, moving top pieces between a city’s two towers, or taking a replacement card from any city—which influence control of each tower. When a city’s required number of pieces is reached, the player with the most pieces in each of its two towers scores points. Collected portrait sets score endgame bonuses. The game ends when all cities are complete; highest score wins.
