What a fantastic game! I wish I had discovered it sooner. I've never played it multiplayer, so I'm not sure how well it would work in that setting, but I have a feeling that it is not too dissimilar to the solo experience. This game shines as a solo game for sure. The bot mimics quite well the experience of working to each civilization way of playing and provides a great adjustable challenge. There are a ton of civilizations: some of them are not as effective as others to win, so some testing is required to find the opponent you enjoy the most playing against. For me, so far, it has been the Magyar. I have nothing bad to say about this game. Perhaps the only thing that I will need to tweak is game length. I feel it's a little bit on the too long side. It would benefit from finishing a tad earlier. Edit: Now that I've played multi, it takes far too long. I only enjoy the game in solo. Replayability is absolutely great! And I've only uncovered the Horizons box. There are two other boxes to mix civilizations with that Horizons adapts with a new set of cards to replace the ones that don't apply anymore. For solo play, I found the commerce cards to be much more fun than the combat ones. The commerce expansion really makes the game shine brighter, even though the base game without it is still fantastic. It's a good idea no to use the expansion cards until you have 2-4 plays with the base game, as it adds complexity. I also appreciate greatly that they've added more bizarre and strange civs to play with which have completely different mechanics like the Martians or the Cultists. I'm very eager to try them out once I have more plays under my belt. It's a 10 game for me. For around 50€ it provides a huge amount of replayability and fun. The more satisfying strategy deck builder I've ever played.

I rated both Classics and Legends a 9, but I'm giving this one a 9.5. The added civilizations, components, and refinements really elevate the experience. The civilizations are even crunchier and more challenging to score high with, which adds depth and excellent replay value.
