Players act as viziers competing for the favor of Pharaoh Khufu during the construction of the Great Pyramid. Over three rounds that represent the pyramid’s levels, players assign officials to actions, collect granite and limestone, hire barges and craftsmen, and expand a shared city by building temples, crops and workshops. The game combines worker placement and resource management: place craftsmen, scribes and priests to gather materials, claim rents from constructed buildings, recruit Medjay to defend borders, and make offerings to the gods to earn favors. Built structures unlock new actions for all players and each game evolves differently based on what is developed and which decree cards are in play.
