Thorgal: The Board Game (Gamefound Edition)

A cooperative story-driven adventure for up to five players who take the roles of distinct heroes from a graphic-novel setting and tackle a series of stand-alone scenarios. Each scenario uses a dedicated map from the included book of maps; players explore the board, pursue scenario goals and optional side plots, gather resources, craft items, and interact with vivid characters described in a scenario-specific storybook. Encounters and narrative outcomes include randomized elements to increase replayability. Characters earn experience and unlock new abilities over the course of a scenario, and groups may split up to cover more ground. An action-selection system makes the order of actions matter, since an action’s power depends on which other actions have already been taken.
