Age of Steam

Les joueurs construisent et financent des réseaux ferroviaires à travers un paysage américain du XIXe siècle en pleine expansion, en posant des voies entre les villes et en les développant. Les tours comprennent l’achat et la vente d’actions, les enchères, l’achat de locomotives et de voies, ainsi que la livraison de marchandises sur des itinéraires établis pour générer des revenus. Les joueurs doivent trouver le juste équilibre entre investir dans l’extension de leur réseau, couvrir les coûts d’exploitation et rembourser leurs emprunts, tout en se disputant les livraisons les plus rentables. L’interaction est forte : le placement des voies et les résultats des enchères influencent directement les adversaires, et chaque phase propose des choix tactiques qui façonnent la planification stratégique à long terme.

    I prefer Brass over this. For some reason I have much less of a problem with the randomness of cards in Brass than the randomness in the growth phase in AoS. If I want to play a networking game, then I'll play Brass and if I want to play a train game with shares, I'll much rather play 18xx.
